The qualification
49 CFR §40.213 establishes the training requirements a person must meet to act as a Breath Alcohol Technician in the DOT testing program. Those requirements include knowledge of the applicable DOT alcohol testing procedures, qualification training, proficiency in the operation of the device the BAT will use, and an initial proficiency demonstration consisting of seven consecutive error-free mock tests.
