What makes a certificate "audit-ready" vs. just "a completion cert"?
When an OSHA inspector or HR auditor reviews your binder, they're checking a specific list: (a) identifiable issuer, (b) specific regulatory citation, (c) full holder identity, (d) proof of comprehension (test score), (e) external verification (so the cert can't be forged), (f) expiration date. Our compliance cert checks every box. A basic auto-generated completion PDF often fails on (e) and (f).
Is this an official government "certification"?
No. TestRight Academy is a private training provider. Certificates issued through these modules are TestRight Academy completion documents and are not government-issued certifications, licenses, or approvals. DOT qualification programs have separate training and proficiency requirements described on the applicable program pages.
How does the verification work?
Every compliance cert has a unique ID like VCT-2026-A1B2C3D4E5F6 and a QR code printed on it. Auditors point their phone camera at the QR (or type the URL testrightacademy.com/verify?id=…) and land on a public page showing the holder's first name + last initial, the course, completion date, expiration, and test score. If the cert is real, the page confirms it. If it's not, the page says "Not Found." Takes about 10 seconds.
How long is the cert valid?
Every certificate is dated and valid for 12 months from completion. Most of these are annual requirements — OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens explicitly requires annual retraining, and harassment prevention, workplace violence prevention, and HIPAA are all done annually as the widely-followed standard.
I bought one but I'm not the person taking the training?
The cert is tied to the email used at checkout. If you're buying for one employee, use their work email so the certificate ends up in their name. Buying for a team?
