Our DOT qualification programs are structured around the applicable training and proficiency requirements in 49 CFR Part 40. Current federal regulations and official DOT/ODAPC guidance control where requirements change or additional agency-specific rules apply.
Our training is structured around 49 CFR Part 40, which establishes procedures for DOT-regulated workplace drug testing and applicable DOT alcohol-testing programs.
49 CFR §40.33 · §40.213 · §40.35

5 urine · 7 BAT · 5 per oral-fluid device
Each demonstration must be consecutive and error-free, observed in real time and attested in writing by a qualified evaluator (§40.33(c), §40.213(c), §40.35(c)).
Issued on successful completion
Evaluator-signed records and qualification documentation after successful completion.
If a collector or BAT makes an error in the collection or testing process that causes a test to be cancelled — a fatal or uncorrected flaw — error-correction training is required (§40.33(f), §40.35(f), §40.213(f)).
A correctable flaw that is successfully corrected does not trigger error-correction training. For drug collectors, a cancellation caused outside the collection process — such as a specimen damaged or lost in transit — does not require collector retraining.
