Random Pool Manager: FAQ

Straight answers about how the platform works, what it costs, and how your data is handled.

Is Random Pool Manager approved or endorsed by the DOT?

No. It is an independent compliance tool and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the U.S. Department of Transportation or any federal agency. It helps you run and document your program; you remain responsible for compliance.

How does the random draw work?

A cryptographic random number generator gives every donor in the pool an equal chance at the required rate. The method and a snapshot of the pool are recorded on each draw so it is reproducible. See how DOT random selection works.

Is a selection defensible in an audit?

Yes — every draw produces a selection certificate and is written to a tamper-evident audit trail, so a program can be reconstructed end to end. See the audit guide.

Can I manage more than one company?

Yes. It is built for C/TPAs — keep a separate random pool for each client company or consortium, each with its own roster, rate, and schedule.

Is there a subscription?

No. It is pay-as-you-go with tokens: 2 tokens per random selection, 2 per MIS report. Records, results, and certificates are free forever, and tokens never expire.

Can I try it free?

Yes. Every account starts in sandbox mode with a demo pool and watermarked practice documents — run real draws and print certificates before you spend a token. No card required.

Are my records mine to export?

Yes. Your Customer Data is yours; you can export it, and if you ever close your account your data is retained for at least 30 days so you can take it with you.

How is my data protected?

Encryption in transit, per-tenant data isolation, role-based access, optional multi-factor authentication, and audit logging. See security & compliance.
