Become a TestRight Accredited Provider

What this is, up front: TestRight Accredited Provider is a private, voluntary accreditation offered by TestRight Academy. It is not a government certification, license, or endorsement, it is not required by any regulation, and it does not guarantee your compliance. It is our own review against the standards published on this page.

Within those limits, it is a real review. Every applicant goes through a genuine vetting process — we look at your qualifications, your documentation, and your collection procedures against 49 CFR Part 40, and only accredit the businesses that measure up. Pass, and you earn a verifiable badge, a certificate, and the Accredited mark on your listing in our national Collector Network, so an employer or C/TPA can see your credentials have been checked.

What accreditation gives you

It’s more than a logo — it’s a vetted stamp of trust. Because every applicant is reviewed against published standards — and we request supporting documentation where the application warrants it — that badge answers the question a client would otherwise have to investigate themselves: is this business really qualified to do what it says? Accreditation says yes — on the record, and verifiable.

TestRight Accredited Provider badge

A verifiable badge

Display the "TestRight Accredited" badge on your website, profiles, and quotes. Each one carries a unique accreditation ID anyone can verify.

An accreditation certificate

A dated certificate with your accreditation ID and term, ready to print or share with clients. It is a TestRight credential and carries no standing in a DOT audit.

Accredited status in the directory

Anyone can list free in our public Collector Network. Accreditation puts the verified Accredited badge on your listing, so employers who filter for vetted providers find you — not just anyone.

What accreditation requires

Accreditation means something because every application is reviewed against these standards. When you apply, you attest that your business meets these standards (we may ask for documentation during review).

How it works

Apply once, then renew every 3 years to keep your accreditation active.

Questions

Do I have to train with TestRight to get accredited?

No. Accreditation is about your business meeting the standards — your collectors can be qualified through us or elsewhere, as long as they hold current DOT training documentation. (If they're not qualified yet, our collector programs are an easy way to get there.)

Is the badge actually verifiable?

Yes. Each accreditation has a unique ID (like ACR-2026-XXXXXXXX) tied to your record, so an employer or auditor can confirm your status is real and current.

When do I pay?

Only after you're approved. Applying is free; once we approve you, we email a secure link for the $299 fee (covers a 3-year term). Your accreditation and badge go live once it's paid.

How long does it last?

Your accreditation runs 12 months. We'll remind you before it expires so you can renew and keep your badge, certificate, and directory listing active.

What if my application isn't approved?

We'll let you know what's missing. Since there's no charge to apply, you can fix the gap and reapply — for example, after a collector completes their qualification.
